Northland Short Story Competition

="center">Short story writers around New Zealand have a new competition to enter this year, as the Northland Branch of the New Zealand Society of Authors opens its short story competition to Kiwis the length of the country.

PRIZES:
First prize - $500 Classics Gift Voucher & Publication in the Northern Advocate
Second prize - $100
Third prize - $50
The winning Northland story - $150 PaperPlus Book Tokens and the Woods Paperplus Trophy

Judge: Graeme Lay

RULES:
Entry fee $5.
Word limit 1000.
Nom-de-plume only to go on story.
Your name, address and contact telephone number to be put in a small envelope and
attached to story with your entry fee.
Enclose SAE for judges comments and if you want your story back.
            Closing date, 30 November 2006
            Typewritten, previously unpublished entries only.

The winners will be announced 20 December.
